beacuse sandy bridge only support 2.0 , it will bootleneck on your systems with this graphics card.

i doubt it. i'm running a stock clocked i5-6600k @ 3.5ghz and it paired with this card is a beautiful combo. hits solid 60fps in any game @1080p maxed out

VRAM has nothing to do with CPU.
you'll regret buying the 3gb version, trust me
