GeForce GTX 1060 Zotac Mini 6GB Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
Zotacs GeForce GTX 1060 mini is a small form factor single fan performance graphics card, based on the Pascal Architecture.

Architecture
It equips a GPU Codenamed P106-400-A1 which is a First Gen Pascal GPU and has 10 SM activated, offering 1280 Shader Processing Units, 80 TMUs and 48 ROPs.

GPU
The central unit runs at 1506MHz and goes up to 1708MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 6GB frame buffer of Fast GDDR5, through a 192-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 2002MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 120W, it requires at least a 400W PSU with one available 6-pin connector.

Performance
Benchmarks indicate that GeForce GTX 1060 offers performance just a bit lower than the GeForce GTX 980. As such, GeForce GTX 1060 is far faster than its predecessor the GeForce GTX 960 and even AMD's Radeon RX 480 seems beaten by this card.

System Suggestions
GeForce GTX 1060 is best suited for resolutions up to and including 2560x1440. We recommend a High-End Processor and 8GB of RAM for Optimal gaming Performance.

Here in Canada this costs $300 vs the MSI RX 480 4gb gaming x which is $300 + $20 MIR. Which is better if I intend to keep it for about 4-5 years? Thanks.

Most would argue that the RX 480 is going to be better off in the future, because it has better support for new technologies such as DirectX12. This support results in higher framerates for AMD over the Nvidia side when running DX12 games.

here in south east Asia, there is 3GB version of this ZOTAC GTX1060 Mini. Is that GPU legit? because the price is quite affordable, about $230.94.

Is it worth going for one of these non-reference cooler reference clocked cards or should I wait for something better to come in stock.

Go for it. It's a good GPU. There won't be any bottleneck.

I would steer clear of the Zotac mini unless you have an SFF case or it's priced well below MSRP. Versions like the AMP just give so much better thermals and acoustics.
