Radeon HD 5550 1024MB Game Requirement Analysis

The Evergreen series is a family of GPUs developed by AMD graphics products division. The existence was spotted on a presentation slide from AMD Technology Analyst Day July 2007 as 'R8xx'. ATI held a press event in the USS Hornet museum on September 10, 2009 and announced ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology and specifications of the Radeon HD 5800 series' variants. The first variants of the Radeon HD 5800 series were launched September 23, 2009, with the HD 5700 series launching October 12 and HD 5970 launching on November 18 The HD 5670, was launched on January 14, 2010, and the HD 5500 and 5400 series were launched in February of 2010, completing what has appeared to be most of ATI's Evergreen GPU lineup.
Demand so greatly outweighed supply that more than two months after launch, many online retailers were still having trouble keeping the 5800 and 5900 series in stock.

Get 3D Mark
"Estimated 3DMark 11 Graphics Score: 920"
So if you score lower, you have some problem

with the HD 5550, it didn't fit in my dads PC.

my dad told me it maybe a down-clocked version(for lower heat and so less sound from case fan) because it was used in a custom Media Center. so that might be it.

so I overclocked it all the way and i tested it again.
the results surprised me, it was on 655 instead of the 710 I got before, so I turned the clock speed down again, so i expected to get to get the 710 score again, but instead I got 656.

i excally got 3 frames more when playing Nosgoth(F2P game) and overclocked, i usually get about 19-20 FPS, now I got 22-23 FPS, so that is weird too.

Synthetic tests are not that reliable I just use them if I have problem with hardware to test if it works and your card works, do not really bother with numbers, what matter is real world gains and thats your higher fps in game
