GeForce GTS 450 Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
GeForce GTS 450 is a fast-middle-class Graphics Card based on the first revision of the Fermi Architecture.

Architecture
The Fermi Architecture is manufactured with a 40nm technology and uses a technique known as Hot Clocking: The Shaders are clocked twice as fast as the Central Unit. While this leads to a reasonable performance boost, it causes enormous amounts of energy dissipation, leading, ultimately, to a significantly higher operating temperature.
Fermi is also the first GPU architecture with fully cached memory access which increases memory performance.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GF106-250-KA-A1 which has 4 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 192 Shader Processing Units, 32 TMUs and 16 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 783MHz.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is adequate. The Memory Clock Operates at 902MHz.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for SLI, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling Solution consists of a Single-Fan.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 106W, it requires at least a 400W PSU and an available 6-pin connector.

Performance
Gaming benchmarks put its performance considerably above Radeon HD 6670.

System Suggestions
We recommend a decent processor (Intel Core i3) and 4GB of RAM for a system with GeForce GTS 450.

no, 1gb vram is not enough and most games will barely work 30fps 720p and low settings

Helle there,
My Gts 450 is running at 38° when it is in idle and around 66°c when it's on full load like when i play game, my question is this is normal especially the 66°c, it's not too hot for long gaming session ?(like 3,4 hour)

completely normal. high end cards are at the 80C mark when gaming so 66 is completely fine

you will not see big performance increase with this card…go atleast with R7 250X 2GB or if you can the R7 260X 2GB

Both give almost identical performance and not very noticeable, but i would recommend the win8.1 because its the latest and has all drive support.

My card has a higher clock rate and gddr5 ram how is it worse than this makes no sense i think that might be a glitch

I don't think you have GDDR5, but you do have higher clock rate, but it's a very tiny difference and the only thing that's better than 450. Clock rate isn't important anyway because very many GPUs that are out have similar clock rate. Look at all the other specs, they cleary are superior than the 610.

number isint everything lets say for example the 610 is a redesign of the 520 which is a redesign of the 430 etc its not always 100 % on but thats roughly how it gets done thats how for example a gtx 660 is better slightly then a 750 ti

and thats how a gts 450 would be better then your 610 thats how a 540m is better then a 610m its all the same concept really
