GeForce GTX 590 Game Requirement Analysis

GeForce GTX 590 is a dual graphics solution that consists of two GeForce GTX 580.
As usual and a hindrance of dual-GPU graphics cards, the clock frequencies are reduced, when compared to a solution of GeForce GTX 580 in SLI. However, thanks to great driver support, its performance is comparable to the SLI solution. GeForce GTX 590 also consumes less energy.
This GPU is capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings. It needs to be paired with a powerful Quad-Core, such as 2600K. However, performance may hinder at extreme resolutions (2560x1600 or higher) with upcoming extremely demanding games, in 2013 (e.g. Crysis 3).
Upgrading from this GPU to anything less than a solution of GeForce GTX 690 SLI or something similar fast is useless and not worth it.

Would this card be ok with a AMD FX 8120 CPU? Building a gaming PC for the other half out of spare parts, got CPU, 16GB RAM just need GC.

don't get a radeon it draws to much power.Rather go for the gtx 680/670.The 670 can overclock a lot and can beat a stock 680

There would be a slight bottleneck from that CPU. Try getting a better one. Be aware that the early versions of this card were known for melting, occasionally.

It says that this GPU is 29% better than mine but it's only 4 GTexel/s faster than my GPU (73 GTexel/s) . GPixel/s is irrelevant for modern DX11 games. Is it because of the memory, because mine only has 200 GB/s bandwidth?

It is better because this is a dual GPU and it has more memory, better memory bandwith.Even single GTX 580 is little better than yours but I think it is lot more expensive and consumes more power and yours is newer

So, it's because of the memory and not other raw specs like the GTexel/s?
