Radeon HD 6790 Review

Radeon HD 6790 is a Performance GPU part of the Southern Islands 40nm family. This card, based on the Barts LE core features 800 Shader Processing Units, 40 Texture Units and 16 ROPs on fast GDDR5 256-bit Memory interface. It was launched with the purpose of filling the gap between HD 6770 and the HD 6850, and offers good performance for the price. It's suited for Resolutions below 1080p, nevertheless it will perform up to Medium settings on demanding titles on FUll HD, and will require reduced Aliasing for Crysis 3 and other Modern demanding games.

According to this site http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=649&card2=647 HD 6790 is much better even vs. GTX 550ti, but I do not now about price.

hi.my firend have XFX 6790 RED EDITION + i3 2120 + Ram 4GB 1333 And I have XFX RADEON HD 6770 Black Editon + i3 2120 + Ram 8GB....We Test our sys in same monitor at sleeping Dogs..but when we want to test our sys i Evolve my 4gb ram to bee Equal 2 system...Result : My freind sys ( average FPS ) : 69.4 My sys : ( average FPS ) : 69.8
but in GD ranking radeon hd 6770 give 7 score....radeon hd 6790 : give 8 score

i'm not sure about this but probably sleeping dongs is cpu intensive, it's not just on this website, but HD6790 is known to be better than HD6770

Had this card for 10 months.
Good-cheap
Bad-Drivers don't work, since drivers don't work I can't set full screen and I have black boarders.
Seems like ATI don't care about customers, contacted them twice and they told me to buy a new monitor or cable even through everything works perfect with other pc's and xbox.
