Radeon HD 6770M Game Requirement Analysis

Radeon HD 6770M is a fast-middle-class GPU based on the 40nm Terrascale 2 architecture.
It's based on the Turks Core (therefore related to Radeon HD 6670) and offers 480 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs on a 128-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5. Its central clock runs at 725MHz and the memory clock operates at 800MHz.
Its performance is superior to both Radeon HD 6830M & Radeon HD 6850M due to being paired with fast GDDR5.
Using a 720p resolution, most of today's games are only playable at medium or high settings but with very fluent frame rates (45+).

This is an awesome GPU for the price in India, but in US you could have bought gtx560m laptop with the same money in 2012-13

GD has underestimated this card. The games that they show unplayable with this card run at a good 30+ fps at very decent settings. Overclock it to 820/940 and games like NFS Rivals and COD Ghosts Will be playable in near ultra settings.

815/890 is highest stable clock I've got with this card. I wouldn't say 30 fps in ghost is playable. I got average of 75FPS on lowQ 720p settings for Advanced warfare MP & 45fps 720p for GTA V vanilla ver. Decent card at its time.

it is not as bad as they say. it has everything a gpu needs to play any new game (DX 11 full support + pix shader 5.0) except the clock speed is poor and the heating is ALMOST uncontrollable whenever you are playing games like crysis 3 (high settings). you can only max games by unreal engine 3 games released in 2012 and (exept for the witcher 2 and BF 3) to get good frame rates.
for a laptop gpu, i believe that the 6770 a great gaming gpu

if im correct, the 6770M is a laptop based gpu, which means that it can not be replaced in most cases. i believe that the only way to do that is to get a new laptop with the 480M or better

I think if its a standalone card without all that switchable graphics features brought in by HP then you can use the proper ATI drivers.
If you have to get them from HP then you wont be getting much more than a base driver. I have a similar graphics card and its really frustrating because HP provide none of the features ATI does and updates are scarce… :-/
