Radeon HD 6970M Game Requirement Analysis

Radeon HD 6970M is a high-end GPU based on the 40nm Terrascale 2 architecture.
It's based on the Barts Core (therefore related to Radeon HD 6850) and offers 980 Shader Processing Units, 48 TMUs and 32 ROPs on a 256-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5. Its central clock runs at 680MHz and the memory clock operates at 900MHz.
Despite being based on the same Core used on Radeon HD 6850, its performance is more comparable to Radeon HD 6790 due to being heavily underclocked.
Most of today's modern games are playable at the highest settings but some exceptions will require lower resolutions or modest presets to be played optimally.

I have an Issue. Can anyone help me with an advice or some tip. I have just bought crysis collection out of steam and im experiencing low FPS on maxed out settings which should not really be a problem for this GPU since im running a lot more demanding games maxed out with sweet FPS. I was trying to find a solution but couldnt find anything :-(. Can anyone tell me probably if its by driver and which one should be the best ? Now im using

Does anyone have the same problem as me?
I cant detect the exact model of my graphics card.
Device manager just says "6900 series". I'm supposed to have a 6970 as stated in my system specs but Im beginning to doubt that.
Ive downloaded GPU-Z and SIWPortable as suggested elsewhere on the interwebz but they made me none the wiser. And of course I'm not going to open up my laptop…

The hd6990m is out now and pretty much the only ati offering for clevo laptops. Going for about $230 cheaper than the gtx580m.

http://www.affordablelaptops.com.au/contents/en-us/d6_metabox-clevo-laptop-notebook.html

The hd6970 seems to be the only laptop gpu on game-debate with rating of 10, it seems strange that the gtx580m has only a 9. Will be interesting to see how the hd6990m gets rated.

Don't buy the gpu just incase it doesn't fit, or possibly your laptop's colling system is not powerful enough, or the adapter does not supply enough power.

Does this can actually replace my current and original GFX card on my laptop? Because I'm afraid of buying it (for 360 Euros) and being a huge waste of money.
