GeForce GT 520 Review

GeForce GT 520 is an entry-level GFX based on the 40nm, Fermi architecture.
It's based on the power optimized GF119 Core and offers 48 Shader Processing Units, 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs, on a 64-bit memory interface of standard DDR3. The central unit runs at 810MHz and the memory clock operates at up to 900MHz.
GeForce GT 520 was later (2012) renamed and released as GeForce GT 610.
Therefore, today's modern demanding games are playable using a 1024x768 resolution while modest games can be played using a 720p resolution. Extremely demanding modern games such as Crysis 3 might require extremely reduced settings (800x640 + Very Low Preset) or might not run at all.

I agree with Kalkucha above; GT 430 is far better. 4GB does not benefit the GT 520, VRAM is not significant for GT 520's performance ;)

This card can play most of the new games at relatively low resolution (1024x768) and on medium to high settings. For example, I can play the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim at 1024x768 resolution and on medium settings at a steady 30 fps.
As this card isn't really meant for heavy gaming it still does it's job, fairly.

It means GT 610 is a renamed GT 520, and the GT 620 is the renamed GT 610, which means GT 620 is just the GT 520 renamed twice.

yeah but if you want to play games on high resolution, with this card, you cant.... games run on low resolution and low to medium settings... i bought this card and sold it after getting disappointed..lol

It is a nice card can play many a game on low most games pre 2008 are maxable. Also with your cpu you will feel a bottleneck a 650ti could be a nice upgrade.

Hi guys ,i wonder if any1 have overclocked his 520 i used msi afterburner and hit : core clock from 810mhz stock to 997mhz .ram from 667 mhz to 751 mhz i could push it more but it start to make shadows and boxs so i made it slower to what u see and it scores P617 while when stock it scored P514
