GeForce GTX 260 Review
GeForce GTX 260 is a high-end GFX based on the 2008, 65nm, second-generation unified architecture.
It's based on the GT200 Core and offers 192 Shader Processing Units, 64 TMUs and 28 ROPs, on a 448-bit memory interface of standard DDR3. The central unit runs at 576MHz and the memory clock operates at up to 999MHz.
The number of Shaders cannot be compared to GeForce GTS 250 as they are based on different architectures.
Some of today's modern demanding games are playable at the highest settings smoothly but most will have to be played with reduced settings. DirectX 11 games aren't supported.

Note: Later (09-2008) was released a variant of this GPU that features 216 Shader Processing Units and a 55nm technology and so it's expected to run cooler and perform slightly better.

A higher number in the name (450 < 260), doesn't always mean that such card has better performance (for example that's totally not the truth with the Ati cards)! Your card is just worse (but still nice) --> http://www.hwcompare.com/7650/geforce-gts-450-vs-geforce-gtx-260/ ;) Besides your card is newer, but doesn't automically mean it's better and for example when looking at the GTX series...... ;)
