GeForce GT 440 GDDR5 Review
GeForce GT 440 is a middle-class GPU based on the 40nm Fermi architecture.
It's based on the Fermi GF108 Core and offers 96 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 4 ROPs, on 128-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5. The central unit runs at 810MHz and the memory clock operates at 900MHz.
Compared to the DDR3 version, the performance should only be around 5% (at most) better since this GPU does not benefit from extra memory bandwidth and this version is very uncommon due to the increased cost of fast GDDR5 and no real benfit.
Most modern demanding games are playable at medium or high settings, using a 720p resolution, with very fluent frame rates (45+).
Note: GeForce GT 440 was later (2012) renamed and released as GeForce GT 630.
