HD i3 2130 Review
HD i3 2130 is a specific version of the Intel HD 2000 Graphics that comes with the CPU 'Core i3-2130 3.4GHz'. It uses the CPU's Level 3 Cache (up to 3 MB, in this case) + part of the RAM installed on the system up to a maximum of approximately 1.7GB for Vista/7 and 1 GB for XP. The Memory controller supports DDR3-1066 and DDR3-1333 and the Dynamic Frequency Technology of the processor can over-clock the graphics card clock from 850MHz to 1100MHz.
Nevertheless it's still an integrated GPU with shared memory so its performance is very limited. Still, demanding games like Crysis 2 should still run on the lowest settings.

this gfx is really better than it looks like!!
GPU-Z benchmark:

see that 128bit bus width and bandwidth 21.3GB/s !!
Pip
22:27 Jul-15-2012

I don't understand how that is possible. I have asked someone about this.
Pip
22:33 Jul-15-2012

I actually want to know what I am missing here but your GPU's weakest point is still its processing power which is very limited, with 6 Shading Units. I don't think the extra bandwidth is going to change much in this case but how is it 128 bits? My head is spinning lol
Pip
22:35 Jul-15-2012

OHHHHH it's dual channel! The max number of memory channels is 2! You have 8GB of ram, that means you have at last two sticks of ram...I GET IT!

The CPUs I have seen so far with integrated graphics only have up to 2 Memory Channels. Even the I7 high end CPUs.

why is "memory speed" 667MHz (like single DDR3-1333 stick?)?
Pip
19:12 Jul-06-2012

Yes, it's max memory clock it supports since the max memory type it supports is 1333MHz.

could you make this gfx to have 3 stars? because if 6600GT 256mb (I had) is on GD "8% better (and has 3 stars)" than my HD i3-2130, something's odd :(
Pip
17:25 Feb-29-2012

and why do you say that? 6600GT is actually a pretty decent GPU while the HD 2130 uses shared memory. What makes you say the 6600GT is worse?

because I have it still too (on bro's rig), so I can directly compare them (same as with Radeon HD4350); but what I can't definitely understand is how can HD i3-2130 be "1 star worse" than HD i3-2100 :)

I tested "Burnout Paradise: Ultimate Box" with "CPU-Z", so just tell me where shall I post image (includes CPU-Z core 1 and 2, gfx, memory, taskmanager, ram use), it's 1280x1024 because I have 2 monitors (one for game and second for showing info)
*cpu freqs 3.501 and 3.502 GHz, gfx 1450MHz, SO IT IS OVERCLOCKED :-D

yea... on MSN as well.. But I see that there was a conflict between the Turbo Boost for CPUs and Graphics Dynamic Frequency for Integrated GPUs that work with CPUs with such Processors..
Tero
22:40 Feb-24-2012

Finally... So you can confirm that they are different technologies? And that i3 doesn't support Turbo Boost?

Yes, Turbo Boost and GDF are two different technologies yet they are complementary to each other when combined together.. Each technology can work on its own for the corresponding hardware, TB boosts processor core clock and GDF boost the core clock for the video chipset. GDF can work on its own without Turbo Boost (in the case of i3 CPUs)

Why can't we just call it turbo boost of the GPU? I am gonna have to change this for every GPU that features this type of description! I hate you, but thanks for noticing, lol
