Radeon HD 7970 XFX Black Edition is a special Edition of the Radeon HD 7970. See the page of the standard edition for more information.
In this edition, the core-clock has been raised from 925MHz to 1000MHz, while the memory clock went from 1375MHz to 1425MHz.
Benchmarks indicate a 4.5% performance boost when compared to the standard Radeon HD 7970.
Therefore, all games, including very demanding ones, should be fully playable at max settings and with very attractive resolutions.

but the psu should be at least 80+ if you ask me, otherwise you need at least 600W psu :)

this is weird. I am planning on buying a XFX Radeon HD 7970 Black Edition Double Dissipation. On game debate there is only a black edition and a Double Dissipation edition, but no XFX Radeon HD 7970 Black Edition Double Dissipation.

You could, but do notice that this card has a better quality chip, meaning more stability and probably a higher OC. No two gpu chips or cpu chips are the same…

I will get this card tomorrow. but i'm afraid my PSU will have a hard time handeling it… will this be a problem? (The AMD site says that 500W is recommended)..
