GeForce 605 1GB is an OEM only, Entry-Level Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Fermi Architecture.
The Fermi Architecture is manufactured with a 40nm technology and uses a technique known as Hot Clocking: The Shaders are clocked twice as fast as the Central Unit. While this leads to a reasonable performance boost, it causes enormous amounts of energy dissipation, leading, ultimately, to a significantly higher operating temperature.
Fermi is also the first GPU architecture with fully cached memory access which increases memory performance.
It equips a GPU codenamed GF119-B1 which has 1 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 48 Shader Processing Units, 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 523MHz.
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 128-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and in no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 898MHz.
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies.
The Cooling Solution consists of a Single-Fan.
With a rated board TDP of 25W, it requires at least a 300W PSU and it relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required.
Gaming benchmarks put its performance on average with Radeon HD 7350.
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Celeron) and 4GB of RAM for a system with GeForce 605 1GB.
1933% better xD
wow, this graphics card is only 10% better than a 8400gs :/
i dont get it, my Laptop GPU is 53% better, but this card has the same specs as mine, 48 cuda cores, etc, but.. i dont know why my card is better, i can play Metro2033 at my current reso medium settings, crysis 2 on advance, BlackOps at ultra, Dirt3 at Max,, just curious,
LoL, is it a joke??!!
