GeForce GT 740 is a DDR3 Graphics Card. If you have the GDDR5 version, please select GeForce GT 740 v2 as your card.
GeForce GT 740 is a middle-class Graphics Card based on the Kepler architecture.
Its features the Kepler GK107 Core and therefore offers 384 Shader Processing Units, 32 TMUs and 16 ROPs on a 128-bit memory interface of standard DDR3. While the memory clock operates at 900MHz, the central unit runs at 993MHz.

Sorry for Late answer , but i think the price of GDDR5 is 80 - 90 $ and the GDDR3 is almost the same but its not worth to get the GDDR3 , so go with Gddr5

yeah it is.. but i would prefer gtx 750 over it due to much better price/performance over this and power efficient

Preferably this, mostly due to the fact that it has the latest architecture and all. Also because it supports SLI, whereas the GT 640 does not.

I just hope they put GDDR5 on it… They put DDR3 on the 620, 630 and 640 to which this card is the successor and it disappointed me seeing as how their AMD/ATI counterparts in the same price range all had GDDR5…

I think that if this is better than an HD 7730 then Nvidia can say they've accomplished something in the low-end market.
