Radeon HD 7650M is a Middle-Class Mobile Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Terascale Architecture.
The Second variant of the Terascale 2 Architecture is still manufactured with a 40nm technology and despite allowing more Stream Cores, their design remains more or less the same compared to the first variant.
It equips a GPU codenamed Thames PRO which has 6 Compute Units activated and thus offers 480 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The Central Unit runs at 500MHz.
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 128-bit memory interface. The memory clock operates at 900MHz. The size of the frame buffer is adequate.
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for Crossfire, HD3D, Eyefinity, App Acceleration, PowerPlay and other technologies.
With a rated board TDP of 20W, it is suited for average sized laptops.
Radeon HD 7650M is essentially a fast Radeon HD 6630M.
Gaming benchmarks put its performance somewhere between GeForce GT 525M and GeForce GT 540M.
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Core i3 Mobile and 4GB of RAM for a system with Radeon HD 7650M.
what games can i play with this graphic card? I have a intel I7 Processor. I mainly play FPS games
I have this but with different specifications. It's 2gb gddr3 and boost clock 500mhz,900mhz
Should I use this or the HD 4000 for games? I'm looking to run FIFA and Borderlands 2 on low at 1366x768 and I don't know if the discrete GPU will make a difference since it has roughly the same performance as the integrated one.
