yes this cpu is beast but a sandy bridge-E processor or a high end Haswell i7 will most likely do better in games because of the higher clock speed. games just don't support 16 cores (8 physical 8 hyper-threaded).

Heh. 74% worse. Not bad. I mean, if it was possible to have 2 cpus in a single computer, i would use 2 of my cpus for $400 instead of this xeon for $2000. But im sure companies with huge amounts of money would use these.
