FX-8300 is a high-end CPU based on the 32nm Piledriver architecture.
It offers 8 Physical Cores (8 Logical), initially clocked at 3.3GHz, which may go up to 4.2GHz and 8MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Core and Virtualization are activated and the clock multiplier is unlocked, meaning it can be overclocked easily.
The processor DOES NOT integrated any graphics. and has a rated board TDP of 95W.
Its performance is very good and sufficient for extreme gaming.
Hi guys, I want to upgrade to this cpu since it is cheap for the Black friday special.
Will this cpu run fine with the MSI 970A-G46 mobo?
I know the 125W TDP processors have a problem with this board but this one is 95W same as the FX-6300.
(I am not planning to overclock)
Is it worth an upgrade?
4500MHz run nice and it can go to 4800MHz no problem :)
Is this normal? I have srock cooler.. Clean and oky thermal paste….when i dont play gta v temp is 40-50 temp…..when i play then 60-75 ?
turbo speed 4.2 ghz
ok i will buy this one for upgrade :)
In my country this CPU costs about 50$ less than 8320 and about 100$ less than 8350 I see no reason not to buy it and it overclocks as a beast, I pushed it only to 20% OC but I tried it can go more.
I read on a lot of places that this is OEM cpu, how come it is sold in stores in Croatia like any other cpu? o.O
Well I get this Cpu for 118€+stock cooler included,so far performs excellent I did OC and it is solid at 4.1Mhz atm where it keep cold temp and performs without any problems. In passmark test score is around 9000,better then stock FX8350
Will the fx 6300 be better at gaming than this cpu?
