These processors have the posibility to overclock them selfs if under load.Mine on 0% ussage is 2.95GHz and on usage above 30-50% goes up to 3.95GHz.But idk about yours it does seem it is overclocked.Go look in the bios and see the option !core multiplier! it should be set to x34.Yours is probably set to x40 thats why it sees its clocked at 4.02GHz.Or use AMD Overdrive.

I'd say A8-6600K. It also has an unlocked multiplier (for overclocking), and when your graphics card dies, you can use the integrated graphics on the A8 processor. Plus it is 11% more powerful.

I have the slightly newer 760k with a mild overclcok and a 270x myself and i would say If you can get an FX 6300 instead ( It was more when i made my PC) then go for it. However if you cant get the FX 6300 then the 750k should do fine. I get FPs drops in 64 man Bf4 but all other games run very well on high-Ultra :)

For temperatures use the software that came with your motherboard. The temps are off for the Fm2 Athlons. For GIGABYTe its EASYTUNE6, ASUS is AI suite, MSi is click BIOS and i believe Asrock is the extreme tweaking utility. this will show BIOS temps in the OS which are much lower than HW monitor and other programs

Although this has only 4 cores versus 6 on the 6100, the cores in this one are faster. Even better in the Athlon II X4 760K. If you want a 6 core, get the FX-6300 which is significantly better than the FX-6100.

It wont be as powerfull as Xbone but the advantage is that you could upgrade it every few years. You could play every game on medium and some on high on your res.If you want a PC that's better than PS4 then you'll have to spend at least 600$,maybe even more.

yea, u need about $150 (fx-8320 cpu), $100 (320gb wd sata hdd, 128gb adata ssd), $50 (am3+ motherboard), $115 (radeon r7 265 2gb gfx card), $60 (750W PSU), $140 (16gb ddr3 1600mhz ram), so at least $615 (total) if u already have a case, dvd drive, monitor and a mouse & keyboard.

An Xbone is not more powerful than an X4 750K and a dedicated 7750. The Xbone is just an APU. No way is it more powerful.

You would be surprised by xbox hardware, it have one thing we can only dream about and thats perfectly designed API and OS just for hardware and igpu inside it
Our hardware must fight with stupidity of windows and DirectX i.e. from thread/memory allocation to no DX multicore support
