This cpu has Turbo 3.2ghz, yours don't. Uses less power and runs on 22nm lithography = it's colder than yours. The differences between the two are very small.

Because this is based on the more modern, more efficient, cooler, Haswell architecture. Your CPU is based on the slightly older Sandy Bridge.

it depends on what you want… the first one has a good possessor, but a sub-par graphics card, while the second has less processing power with a better graphics card. id personally go with the second one for gaming.

I saw almost no FPS increase in games when I changed CPU to 4770k :) i7 is just mostly better for rendering etc. until games really start to take advantage of that Hyper-threading.

Is this CPU better than my current CPU(FX-4300) also this is clocked at 3.0ghz does that mean it will be slower than my current cpu clocked at 4ghz ?!?
Cheers.

yep wayyy better atleast by 10% and clock speed isn't the most reliable performance indicator. if it were from the same generation i.e if it was a 4670K then it would be slower bu FX 4300 is from a whole new generation so you can't compare these two by clock speed.
