Yes, it bottlenecks HD 7770 A LOT! If you search for HD 7770 on GD and select the correct edition (there are dozens @@), look at the "Best CPU match" box, GD recommends Intel Core i3-3240 3.4GHz for it.

yeah it is Conroe . .Coz a friend of mine has this old cpu. .and was asking me wat GPU is good this it. .So I sold my old Gigabyte GT 430 OC edition for 2000 pesos. . hahaha and his still happy with it. .but I was wondering what is the max GPU upgrade for this CPU?

idk maybe HD 6670. its quite a nice CPU, theoratically you can achieve 3.6Ghz with 333Mhz FSB, thats like more than 60% increase in clockspeed.

This is my previous CPU,and i must say ist great,it was working 5 years whit out any problem,i remeber when crysis realese,i was able to play on high,and my gpu was 8600gts :D i sold old rig to my friend for 100 e :D

A 500w psu should support them if it is a decent brand. Go to nvidia and look up the cards you want. There they will show the recommended psu.

i think this is a good cpu. i have an old system this cpu a xfx 9800gt 512mb edition. 4gb ddr2 and a 680i lt motherboard also from xfx. i get at least 40 to 50 fps on the new games. maybe not bf3 but i know its a good cpu. i also have the fsb up to 1000 and my core clock is 2.74. so its ok a OCing. i just dont want to mess with the voltage so i cant really get it any higher. but good cpu lasted me a long time.
