Core i3-3120M 2.5GHz Game Requirement Analysis

Core i3-3120M 2.5GHz is a middle-class mobile processor based on the 22nm Ivy Bridge architecture with most of the Ivy Bridge features activated (not Turbo Boost).
It features 2 Cores (4 Threads), clocked at 2.5GHz and integrated graphics called Intel HD 4000 which run at 650MHz (1100 MHz in Turbo mode). The CPU supports DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1600 memory types. Expect a TDP of up to 35 Watt.
Its gaming performance is quite good but would still become a bottleneck for high-end GPUs such as Radeon HD 7970M or GeForce GTX 680M.

Nice processor. On my system despite having HD Graphics 4000, i still play games like the latest NFS Hot Pursuit and FIFA 14 with hardly any problem.

That games don't need more power in your GPU, and most of them (games) has a good optimization. :)

I see. It also worth mention that my system has RAM that operates in dual-channel mode which help increase the performance of the GPU. I also know that under this processor, the GPU suppose to clocked at 650MHz but on my system it actually clocked at 350MHz and turbo boost up to 1100MHz.

U need 8GB RAM, 2x4GB to make your iGPU use all of the power, but 6GB it's okay to, u have no to worry. Btw what laptop is that ? Why not buy a Laptop with same CPU but use at least GeForce GT 630M/720M ?

I'm using a toshiba satellite c55-a5285 laptop. I have been looking at other laptops online including those with nvidia graphics and those with amd a8 or a10 processors as well, i'm just hoping to get one after i've finished with this one but not right now or not to soon because i don't have money.
