Ive overclocked mine to 4.4GHz with stable temps at around 32degrees underload. Can run BF1 in Ultra at around 60 - 65fps. very happy with it considering the price/performance factor.

Just enough to go VR and wouldn't upgrade to 1080 as bottleneck may occur.

Will this CPU, FX-6350 support DX12? Can anyone tell me that?
Is it a bottleneck for a Radeon R9 280x OC 3gb?

No, I don't believe so. Maybe if a certain game is really CPU-intensive, but otherwise no.

Hey too bad i can't upvote you twice, I had already done it before :D

What do you think for 240€ (around 300$) would be a good CPU/Mobo combo? "Client" got more money :P

Any AMD 970 chipset mobo will do. They are cheap, have good quality, support overclocking and they have lots of expansion slots for sound cards and what not. In fact they are so cheap that the "client" may even be able to get an FX-8320 or 8350 off of the price difference. No joke.
And don't worry about rep. One upvote is more than plenty :P

With my config I can run Crysis 3 and Watch Dogs (just to make 2 ex.) at ultra settings with a minimum of 55 fps worst case scenario. Considering that the human eye can sense a max of 60 fps to achieve a smooth image, its more than enough
