FX-9590 is a high-end CPU based on the 32nm Piledriver architecture.
It offers 8 Physical Cores (8 Logical), initially clocked at 4.7GHz, which may go up to 5.0GHz and 8MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Core and Virtualization are activated and the clock multiplier is unlocked, meaning it can be overclocked easily.
The processor DOES NOT have any integrated graphics, and has a rated board TDP of 220W.
Compared to its predecessor FX-8350 there's an overall 12% performance boost. Its performance is exceptionally good and enough for even the most demanding applications.
worth an upgrade for me? cause 3770K has 2% more performance and it's a 3rd gen i7 cpu… shall i wait ryzen or going for i5-6600K or this could be an option?
I run this same cpu and its not all to crazy hot hottest ive seen is 50*C at max load under a corsair h110i gtx hydro series and I love it free upgrade from a 8350 and I'm not looking back
Hello, I was wondering if it whould be beneficial for me to upgrade from fx-8350 to this cpu with my current setup.
220W! Well if anyone has this CPU they don't need central heating.
''Yes who need a space heater??'' You know that amd gives max temp 68oC? I build a system of my friend and it hits 54oC in full load with AIDA64 with phanteks aircooling…!!Go check ur i7 6700k which hits 72oC with CoolerMaster Nepton 240m
If I ever got hands on this (not really), does that mean I can throw away my space heater? I'll make sure to get 2 GTX 480s too!
Yeah… call me crazy , but I LOVE this CPU. I knew going into building a system around this CPU will require a lot of cooling. Hence I went Liquid cooling for both my GPU and CPU.
OH MY GAWD 220W!!1
Dawm you should have a 600W PSU for sure!
i hear this one comes with a casket for the mobo.
