Core i5-4200U 1.6GHz Game Requirement Analysis

Core i5-4200U 1.6GHz is a super energy efficient mobile processor based on the 22nm, Haswell architecture.

It offers 2 Physical Cores (4 Logical), initially clocked at 1.6GHz, which may go up to 2.6GHz and 3MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Boost and Virtualization are activated.

The processor integrates mildly powerful Graphics called Intel HD i5 4200U (variant of Intel HD Graphics 4400), with 20 Execution Units, initially clocked at 200MHz and that go up to 1000MHz, in Turbo Mode which share the L2 Cache and system RAM with the processor.
Both the processor and integrated graphics have a rated board TDP of 15W.

It offers average performance. This means it will become a bottleneck in some demanding applications.

Maybe your laptop is using the power saving GPU (Intel). You can switch between the GPUs using the Catalyst Control Center.

I would go for the second oe because the GT 740m is slightly better than the other (atleast mine is, and I have the weaker one) and the cpu doesnt matter too much :)

That OC, is it real, my sister has a Asus laptop with this processor, and I want to OC it for her, but I never overclocked intel before, what would be a good laptop OC with this processor?

None.
I wouldn't OC laptop chips, especially not ULV parts. Also, most of the time the option isn't even available. If you really want to OC it, just do it in tiny steps (like 25-50MHz), reboot it, do a torture test, if it's stable rinse and repeat, if it's not, use your last stable setting or preferably one before that.

lol, i dont think he OC'd his laptop
thats just the turbo boost, which he thinks isnt already accounted for in the ranking
and believe me i have tried to OC mine
at the end i didnt because it isnt worth it
my CPU already reaches 70-80c on load
and sometimes 90c
so, the overheating alone would be a problem
and buying a cooler would limit mobility, which is the sole reason i bought a lappy in the first place
and then you have to do so many dry runs to check if the OC is stable
that much hassle isnt worth the minor boost in performance, and this is excluding the risks that come with it :/
