Your cpu is better but you dont have very good upgrade options,i just downgraded from a c2q q9400 to an athlon ii x4 630,oc'ed it by %25 and its v good,so if u are able to lose some performance for upgradability, youre good

You would need to change the mother board too, soo actually it would be better to upgrade on your current socket, although I dont know what kind of upgrades you can have on your current mobo. It would be an upgrade but…

Probably it wouldn't be worth it because you have to change the mobo to an FM2 socket and buy the cpu. The problem is that there aren't a lot of upgrades for this socket (FM2/+) so you would end up in a dead end if you want to upgrade in…

the future, which would mean you have to buy a new mobo again, which is a waste of time and money etc. Best bet would be, if you want to go AMD way, than buy an AM4 mobo, and go for Ryzen R3/5 depending on your budget, on the Intel way…

But it would be a good pair with the 1050 Ti, but a bit bottlenecked in the CPU heavy games, and it wouldn't be future proof. My recommend is an R5 4 core/8 thread for gaming or R5 6core/12 thread for more stuff like editing etc.

And i also heard APU is really bad for gaming because it have igpu and have slow cores when games need 1 or 2 fast cores which apu dont have and this cpu(x4 860k) have, but that is just what i read and i thought this is actually a good cpu to replace mine
