Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Review
The Phenom II triples the shared L3 cache size from 2MB (in the original Phenom line) to 6MB, leading to benchmark performance gains as high as 30%. In another change from the original Phenom, Cool 'n Quiet applies to the processor as a whole, rather than on a per-core basis. AMD implemented this in order to address the mishandling of threads by Windows Vista, which can cause single-threaded applications to run on a core that idles at half its clock rate.
Socket AM2+ versions of the Phenom II (920, 940) lack forward-compatibility with Socket AM3. Socket AM3 versions of the Phenom II are backwards-compatible with Socket AM2+, though this is contingent on motherboard manufacturers supplying BIOS updates.

Why not? Have you not seen dual cores with high-end GPUs? That's the only logic reason I can think of..

Why would anyone pair a GTX 560 with a 3930K? Also, the CPU doesn't really affect load times in games. Your CPU is fast in games, and is probably close to a 3930K when it comes to gaming performance except in rare situations like BF3 MP.

Everyone has their opinions. I like both nvidia and amd gpu's, but I prefer intel cpu's because for the same price or slightly more, you most probably will be able to get a intel cpu that performs better. It is all about performance.

man you dont trust me?i told you not to by the athlon 455 and 955 because they are not supported..but the athlon 64 which is better than 455 and worse than 955 is supported.athlon 640 is a quad core cpu which plays everything maxed easily..even the 455 plays everything..

I guess it depends on the distributers and stores you buy from and where you live etc.. Here, an average intel mobo is like 1.3-1.4 price the average amd mobo

@PapiFiveNine

Actually here in SA the proce between the amd and intel mobos are the same UNLESS you go for the extreme intel mobos. That is where you see the difference.
