Core i7-6700K 4-Core 4.0GHz is a high-end CPU based on the 14nm, Skylake MicroArchitecture.
It offers 4 Physical Cores (8 Logical), initially clocked at 4.0GHz, which may go up to 4.2GHz and 8MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, HyperThreading, Turbo Boost 2.0 and Virtualization are activated and the processor has its multiplier unlocked.
The processor integrates Powerful Graphics called HD i7 6700K, with 24 Execution Units, initially clocked at 350MHz and that go up to 1150MHz, in Turbo Mode which share the L2 Cache and system RAM with the processor.
Both the processor and integrated graphics have a rated board TDP of 91W.
Its performance is exceptionally good and enough for even the most demanding applications.
is it worth upgrading to this?
I want to upgrade to this cpu with a new board and new ram. I currently own a Scythe Kabuto cpu cooler unit. Will this do its job fine on the i7? I checked the compability and at least from this point it would be fine. Advice appreciated (:
If I'm upgrading to a 1080 will I need this/something stronger or will my current CPU work?
what cooler will i need for this (i wanna play all new high demanding games)?
or is it enough just a stock cooler? btw im not planing to overclock it
Should I upgrade to this motherf*cker?
Can anyone recommend a decent motherboard for this cpu and a cooler
Nothing to expensive xD
worth changing my CPU for this, considering the gpu I just bought? Thx
Can anyone tell me if this cooler will be able to handle the 6700k running at 100% for extended period of time ? - price=52euro
or should i go for something cheaper/pricier like
Would this be a worthy and significant upgrade from my current cpu? Thanks for responses in advance!
In September, i'll upgrade to this processor from my i3-4130 with GTX 1070 G1 gaming GPU and 16gb of ram.
