This or i5-7400 for mostly only gaming. CS:GO is a heavily cpu based game I've heard that depends on clock speed. I'm going to be playing CS:GO on 1600x900 res.

i7 4790 or this? I'm thinking also of the price since I have to buy a new mobo if I go Ryzen.

i'd say get the intel one - you will be good with it for the next 4 years (I would guess only the GPU would have to be upgraded soon)

Get this CPU instead of the "intel one" since you're getting a new mobo

I would say whichever is cheaper - I don't think that any major difference will be noticeable in the long run - maybe the Ryzen is better, but that won't be noticeable in the next 1 year + (and by better, I don't mean gaming-wise)
