Athlon II X4 620 Review
The Athlon II series is based on the AMD K10 architecture and derived from the Phenom II series. However, unlike its Phenom siblings, it does not contain any L3 Cache. There are two Athlon II dies: the dual-core Regor die with 1 MB L2 Cache per core and the four-core Propus with 512 KB per core. Regor is a native dual-core design with lower TDP and additional L2 to offset the removal of L3 cache. The three core Rana is derived from the Propus quad-core design, with one core disabled.

It seems that my Pentium G860(2 cores) is the equivalent of Athlon II X4 620(4 cores), because the Pentium G860 is 0% different than Athlon II X4 620.
Now, my conclusion is that 2 cores from Intel are the same with 4 cores from AMD !
Am I right ?

Nope. The Pentium is newer, with a more recent architecture, clocked higher and has L3 Cache, which favors gaming, and a very strong dual core overall, whereas this athlon is a now aging quad core.

What about Ati HD 7850? I have the Ati HD 5750 right now, but I'm thinking to replace it with the 7850.. Will I see any difference, considering I have an Athlon II x4 620? (Full resolution -I know I demand a lot! :P)

So you wouldn't recommend it? Anyway, I think the 5750 works nice with the athlon II x4. I don't think I have any bottlenecking.

I dont think you will have noticable bottleneck with athlon 2 x4 620
first, try to overclock it to 3000mhz -and try to go higher with FSB not only with multiplier
second, i am sure some of 620 athlons have disabled L3 cache and you can unlock it in bios
and you are ready for HD7850 :-)

I thought of that too, but what should I watch out unlocking the L3 cache? I mean, I know that changing the FSB and the voltages will draw some heat, and will need an aftermarket cooler etc etc, but will the L3 cache affect anyhow my system?

sure, cpu is storing data betveen cpu and memory in cache for faster response, L3 is slowest but biggest and still lot faster than storing data in ram

resoliution would be 1600 x 900 or 1366 x 768 (something like this) and ram 8-12 gb
