Core 2 Duo E6320 1.86GHz Review
Core 2 is a brand encompassing a range of Intel's consumer 64-bit x86-64 single-, dual-, and quad-core microprocessors based on the Core microarchitecture. The single- and dual-core models are single-die, whereas the quad-core models comprise two dies, each containing two cores, packaged in a multi-chip module. The introduction of Core 2 relegated the Pentium brand to the mid-range market, and reunified laptop and desktop CPU lines, which previously had been divided into the Pentium 4, Pentium D, and Pentium M brands.
The Core microarchitecture returned to lower clock rates and improved the usage of both available clock cycles and power when compared with the preceding NetBurst microarchitecture of the Pentium 4/D-branded CPUs. The Core microarchitecture provides more efficient decoding stages, execution units, caches, and buses, reducing the power consumption of Core 2-branded CPUs while increasing their processing capacity. Intel's CPUs have varied widely in power consumption according to clock rate, architecture, and semiconductor process, shown in the CPU power dissipation tables.

Submit A Benchmark

Welcome. From this page you can submit a personal benchmark to GD. Once approved by GD admin everyone can search for your bench results here. The more results the more we all learn.

There are lots of free benchmark tools that test parts of your PC. Select a Type in the form to the right, then select a Tool and then select a Test. You will see a weblink appear beside your selection. Click this link to get the benchmark Tool. Try NovaBench for an all in one benchmark that is only 12Mb to download.

How To

Run your choosen Benchmark Tool on your PC, using the benchmark tool's default setting. Take a screenshot displaying the benchmark score and information displaying your rig and submit that to us.

Great, but you thing an regular PSU of 500w can support that rig well (the e8400 and the 8800with intel stock cooling and 4 80mm fans and 2 120 mm fans )yea I keep my case cooled well??

PES 2011? The GTS8800 is more than enough for PES 2011 (even with the use of DX 10 and I assume a display resolution of 1440 x 900) and scores very good at AA and AF! No AMD, no new (expensive) PSU ;-)

Maybe the question is, does my dad want to start gaming or not.  ;) HD 3870x2 If this is the same price as a GTS8800 then get the HD.... more for your money.

Anyhow do not buy this CPU.

yea. thats why im so confused to,i dunno if to go for the stronger, noiser and more Power demanding or to go with the simple 8800 which will perform well for my dad and his weak but has low power consumption and is pretty quiet.

amd or not amd, that is the question

oh andanother thing i  want to put in a new GFX in his computer too , what is better for his needs the 3870x2 or a gts8800(i found them both for 40$ so money is not a factor here. what concerns me is that the 3870x2 requires a buttload of W and thats quite expensive but he gives back about double the performance)
