This may be a stupid question, but would the Corsair H40 liquid cooler be too weak to cool this cpu?

Well… Nice cpu but its stupid to buy one.. There is no game that requires this cind of performance, and when there will be… you will be able to buy this one 3x cheaper. im just saying that its wiser to buy new PC every year than one extremely expensive once in 3 years.

if you do streaming than a 6 core is perfect for you and rendering and encoding. But id like to do big upgrades every 3 years instead of small ones every year

That piece of metal costs about $1000 :D. I personally think that spend $333 every year is better. Plus you can sell a CPU that was produced 1 year ago with higher price than one that was produced 3 years ago :D

would you rather beable to do A+B+C all right now or only A year 1 A+B year 2 and than A+B+C+ year 3? The one from 3 years ago is still very powerful because of how much more was offered.

Hmm, Intel being secretive :D I doubt the performance jump will be huge though, unless Haswell is the first quantum computing unit :D
