I'm thinking about buying this CPU and a graphic card that would work with it like in simpfony (ati radeon 4xxx/5xxx/6xxx) …

P.S I just need to upgrade so I can play BF 3, RO 2 and Source games normally and maybe even new games.

i think you should upgrade your hard drive and ram but you may want to get a better cpu as this cpu can't run child of light (it won't load up) if you're not interested in the game i say go ahead and get the cpu.

Don't bother upgrading to this processor. It won't be worth it. You need a full overhaul. What is your total budget right now?

I'm just about to upgrade from this little gem. I've had it running my games since 2008 along with the GeForce 8800 GT 1GB and 4Gb DDR2 800Mhz and although I am not a serious gamer it runs X3 Terran Conflict on highest settings without trouble and the Freezer Pro cooler is quiet at load even after so many years. It is a bit old now, though. I would be inclined to go for the Athlon II X4 740 instead if you are on a tight budget.
