Sandy Bridge, Nehalem's successor, is the codename for a processor microarchitecture developed by Intel's Israel Development Center beginning in 2005 targeting the 32 nm process. The codename was previously "Gesher" (meaning "bridge" in Hebrew). Sandy Bridge processors were first released on January 9, 2011. Intel demoed a Sandy Bridge processor with A1 stepping at 2 GHz during the Intel Developer Forum in 2009. Up to 17% more CPU performance clock-for-clock compared to Lynnfield processors, while its integrated graphics provides around twice the performance of Clarkdale's.

you must try use video converter with it, this processor can process 8 conversion at once!!! 4 core but when working it's like 8 core :D

why game-debate says is better than mine CPU ? I have 4 cores and 3.1 Ghz , same Lithography , cache

From what i know..
Core i3 = 2 Cores, 4 Threads or Hyper Threaded.
Core i5 = 4 Cores. NO , i repeat, NO HyperThreading, BUT with TURBO BOOST.
Core i7 = 4 Cores 4 THREADS, WITH TURBO BOOST, so it will register on windows as if it has 8 CORES. do your research,

Why when I messured this prosessor in my Laptop acer 5755G with cpu z I just got 780Mhz in normal condition and when play game or instal or scan,ect... It go up to 2.1 or 2.7 ghz????Is this normal or something's wrong???Please help!!!!!

hey it has turbo boost facility. Whenever you play any game or highly rendering softwares the core boosts upto 3.1..... Its not overclocking

the excellent thing is,that,if you have an aplication that requires a great ammount of speed processor,it will do an overclocking up to 3.2 GHZ from 2.2 GHZ
