FX-4100 is a middle-class CPU based on the 32nm Bulldozer architecture.
It offers 4 Physical Cores (4 Logical), initially clocked at 3.6GHz, which may go up to 3.7GHz and 8MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Core and Virtualization are activated and the clock multiplier is unlocked, meaning it can be overclocked easily.
The processor DOES NOT integrated any graphics. and has a rated board TDP of 95W.
It offers average performance. It will therefore become a bottleneck in today's demanding games.
80% better but I can't overclock my CPU… it's ok
51% better i think my CPU won't bottleneck my future GPU ( gtx 950 )
100% better lol
Only 3% worse… Except I can't overclock, but still impressive…
49% stronger than mine i love my cpu :D
What do you guys think i should upgrade to?
its getting older and i still love it, but i play arma 3, and it drags my little cpu down
i have an am3+ mobo
whats the most reasonable priced processor of the fx line as of now?
I'm having alot of trouble,Dayz/arma runs in 12 fps, watch dogs laggs like hell on low, Tryied all, updated bios, drivers, even 2 hotfixes from microsoft.
If I had had more money, I would have obviously gone for the 4100's big brother the 8350 when building my rig. But nevertheless this processor has given me everything I need, for the most part. The only times it struggles are when I've modded a game to the underworld and back, but on vanilla, I can play most any game on with fair fps. The 4100 is a perfect mid/upper range gaming CPU.
