Core i5-2310 2.9GHz Review
Core i5 is a brand name used by Intel for several microprocessors, the first of which were introduced in late 2009. It is positioned between the mainstream Core i3 & Core 2 and the high-end Core i7 & Xeon brands. Core i5, like Core i7, is based on the Nehalem microarchitecture.

If you're gonna use it for games, i suggest you buy this cpu so that you can save more money and slap in a powerful gfx, perhaps an HD7950 :)

This way you would get more fps in games than having an i7 2600K with a less powerful gfx.

Whatever really that doesn't cost too much. To be honest I don't know alot of i7 processors. 2600k seems to be popular, but is it any good?

But is it worth to update from this to 2600k? Afterall I have't had alot of problems with this, I think it would be better for me to update the GFX and go for this later. Thanks for the replies though, now I know which CPU I'm looking at if I decide to upgrade :)

lol absolutely its not worth if you play games on it, 2600k is great but overpriced like hell
You have HD6770 you need to upgrade that
model situation
I7 with HD6670 -300euro upgrade =10-15% better performance in games
your i5 with lets say HD7950 -300 euro upgrade =100% better performance in games
