Core i5-2450M 2.5GHz is a middle-class mobile processor based on the 32nm, Sandy Bridge architecture.
It offers 2 Physical Cores (4 Logical), initially clocked at 2.5GHz, which may go up to 3.1GHz and 3MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Boost and Virtualization are activated.
The processor integrates weak Graphics called Intel HD Graphics 3000, with 12 Execution Units, initially clocked at 650MHz and that go up to 1300MHz, in Turbo Mode which share the L2 Cache and system RAM with the processor.
Both the processor and integrated graphics have a rated board TDP of 35W.
It offers average performance. This means it will become a bottleneck in some demanding applications.
man this cpu is quite warm while idling at about 45c thinking of downclocking to 2ghz if i can. i have this inside of a acer 5750g and all i do is play very little games and mostly surf the web and do some homework.
23 worse?! woohoo
this the 1st generation you can see on the logo i have the second gen. i guess
How the hell is this better than my A10 4600m???
I own this CPU in my HP ProBook 4730S laptop and it runs at 2.8GHz not overclocked, no turbo-boost?
BTW… overclocking this CPU is not recommended as laptops usually don't have very powerful cooling system and it can be easily burned to death as both CPU and GPU share the same cooling system.
Why is the I5 3210m 2.5GHz worse than this ?
can anyone tell me how 2 over clock this, and doesnt this core have that turbo boost up to 3.1ghz?
