i pushed it to 3,7 Ghz , im going for 4 Ghz but i think 3,8 Ghz will be the absolute max for this cpu

Don't OC it anymore-you will end up frying your CPU. Keep it at 3.7 GHz or set it back to base clock. At base clock, it is still better than this CPU.

This cpu is unlocked, you will have to decrease multiplier in order to achieve higher front side bus, disable IGP (integrated graphic card) and try this combination: multiplier - 2.7, fsb - 126.
And baang, 3.4 ghz it should be stable in most games on stock volts. You can also try multiplier - 2.5, fsb - 132, for 3.3 ghz. I'm not sure this will work but since ur cpu should be the same as mine.. with disabled igp everything should be ok.

The configurations i told you about are made in bios, i've tried overclocking for fun with a gigabyte utility and it was unstable and sometimes it was also failing to boot, i don't trust cpu overclocking through programs, i suggest you to use bios, the best way to learn more is to try, as much time you don't go around changing everything without thinking. If u need further assistence about cpu/gpu overclocking you can ask me.

I OC'd mine through BIOS. Was easy as hell, all it took was about 2 clicks lol. Had no problems since I OC'd. Temps are normal, PC runs fine, no crashes, no blue screens, but barely any performance increase.

Will this Cpu work well with the HD 7770 Gigabyte OC?
Will there be any bottlenecks and is there any potential for overclovking?

what about z77 mobo, i5 cpu and 7870/7950/660ti g card?
Mazasrb
19:37 Nov-06-2012

Buy Z77 only if you plan to OC, or if you're going for Ivy Bridge CPU, as it's fairly expensive. If you buy some Sandy Z68 would fit you, however I'd recommend the Ivy as it isn't more expensive but more efficient.Let's say you want to focus on the GPU and take 200 euros 7870,160 for the i5-3450, 90 for mobo, 80 for HDD,that rounds too 530.And you'll have 70 to spend on RAM and case,...These prices may not be so accurate, they are here just to give you some guidelines.

Mazasrb

Hey buddy, you can't be mad at Game-Debate.Just because it was higher rank it doesn't mean it was the right one.GD is being constantly updated and as faster CPUs are added slower ones gets lower rank thus your CPU got lower rank accordingly.Your CPU doesn't have enough power to get 9.

Why this processor is so powerful? It beats some of Intel i5 processors, and FX-6-cores.... Pretty weird, I'm getting parts for my new pc, gonna buy a bit more than 900 euros. Already I found graphic card. So, do you know, should I buy this processor or AMD FX-6100, AM3+, 3,3GHz, 6-core?
