Core i5-3360M 2.8GHz Review
Core i5-3360M 2.8GHz is a fast-middle-class CPU part of the Core i5 Series released by Intel between 2010 and 2012.
It's based on the Ivy Bridge architecture and therefore features integrated graphics called Intel HD Graphics 4000 and it's manufactured with 22 nm. Previous Sandy Bridge features are also present, such as Turbo Boost and Hyper Threading.
It's built with 2 cores and each core features 2 threads, making a total of 4.
It's the most powerful mobile dual-core CPU (of the i5 Series) but it's still not enough run the most demanding games (The Witcher II for example) at the highest settings, even paired with a powerful GPU. However, benchmarks indicate the performance is good enough for modern demanding games like Crysis 2 and Skyrim V.

if compared with i7-3610QM is this far worse or is it good too thanks to 10W lower TDP (and so suitable for notebooks)?

The i7 has 4 cores and 8 threads so this should be nowhere near that CPU ;)

of course it's somehow "doubled":), but I meant in single- or dual-core apps, as this i5 has higher freq...

Don't forget that those apps can use the idle threads of the CPU ;)

ok, and perhaps i7 has more cache space so it might respond quicker?

I still don't understand what "thread" really is. I know OS recognizes as a core, games use it as a core;
but still 2threads from single core must be slower for a single process than single core with unused thread...

thx I read it now, but still my i3 vs. i5-2500 won't be much difference then?

Well your CPU doesn't have Turbo and the i5 has 4 physical cores which is always better then HT ;) The i5 also has double the amount of cache.

thx, I thought there must be reason why i5-2500 costs 1/3 more than my i3-2130 :)
