The CPU does feature 4 cores, as well as decent core frequency but the performance, though good, is very unimpressive..
Still, It should be powerful enough to handle every game out there.

That would be if it was a intel cpu for amd it's be which is black edition means the same as the k for a intel which has a unlocked multiplier to make it easier to OC this one does not have one try fx63xx,fx83xx.

Quickly said, yes. It has an unlocked multiplier, so you can overclock this very easily, even on the stock cooler you could possible get a decent overclock out of this :)

If you're thinking of buying this, you'd better look at the upcoming 'Richland' cpu's, which are A8-6XXX, and perform better.

That's also an option, just a little more expensive :)
Be sure to check out the FX 8-cores too, they're not as bad as people say, and with the new consoles having AMD 8-cores, they're only gonna be better optimised ; )

hmm, I checked and I can either get an FX 8120 and 7850 with 8gb RAM, or and i5-3470 and 7870 with 4gb RAM
