Core i5-3470 Quad 3.2GHz Review
A very decent CPU that matches today's quad core needs in games. Compared to the 3475S, it's a little faster, but it comes with the Intel HD 2500 instead of the 4000 graphics controller. But does this matter if you want to game hard? I wouldn't advise such a nice Ivy Bridge quad working together with something less than a HD 5770 or GTS 450! And of course a nice RAM configuration should be present: 6 or 8 GB DDR3 1333MT/s in dual channel? When that setup is reality, go for a monitor with a resolution that's >= 1440 x 900 and take care of your power needs. Don't worry too much, because this CPU only has a 77W TDP, compared to for example 105W for the much older and worse Q6600!

Looks good, just the resolution makes me wonder. I guess it's not so common anyway. On a side note, you could treat your rig with some more memory in the near future

its not recommended to do crossfire. it would cause micro stuttering in some games and scaling is simply horrible(35% average). it is recommended to just sell your gpu and with it plus your budget get the fastest single gpu you can(probably gtx680) you could also wait for 700 series(just around the corner)

FX- 8 cores 4 FPU, i5 4 cores 4 FPU
i5 you dont need cooler
FX you need cooler + case
FX: 8 cores, OC
i5: better cores, no need for cooler (but you cant oc)
i was thinking betwean this and FX 8320 and i decide this, cuz no need for case and cooler and game dont use 8 cores so they have prety much same performance, i5 little better cuz of better cores (in gaming)
sorry for my english, i hope i help you

Its interesting for me that Intel cpu dont need case but amd cpu need one, that mean you can just put your i5 on floor and it will run automaticaly or what? hehe :-D
FX from lower line have bad coolers, but no need for cooler if you plan FX-8***, their coolers are actually good

my bad about case, if you have little case, with bad air circuling (did i say right?probably not) you need to change it, point is i5 overheat less than fx and no need for new cooler (on other forum prety much people told me if i buy fx i will ned new cooler becouse its is very laugh and bad for that processor

i want to build PC like that under my name, i will keep my old case "MSIapolon550", only problem is that i dont know what CPU to buy, this one or FX-3820, on other forum they suggest i5 because i dont need new cooler for it, and for FX i do. here(GD) on fx3820 topic they suggest fx, i would rather buy FX cuz 8 cores (for hardly use) but i am worried about temperature, i dont want buy coller apart CPU and myCASE is small, will it be ok with stock?

its not fx-3820 but fx-8320 :). the i5 and fx-8320 are pretty much a tie. though the fx-8320 has 8 cores its per-core performance is much lower. since your worried about temp go for the i5(it uses less power and produce less heat). the only "real" advantage of fx-8320 is that its overclockable while the i5 is that it "usually"faster than fx-8320 on games today(cuz games rarely uses 8cores/threads). as for the cooler just use the intel stock cooler, you won't be able to OC with this i5 anyway

thank you for the answer, i see mistake now (8320) :)
you help me alot because i decided to go on i5, cuz if i buy fx i have to buy 25€ cooler and new case... and my budget is 500€ for RAM, i5, R7850, MBO and PSU, i have rest
for me that's more import than new case, fancy kayboard...
anyway, i go to i5 and that's my last.
btw: when would games start to use 6or8 cores,( just to know when i will need to replace it with 8 core)??

Most of them should, most of the ssds on the market dont even saturate the 3gb/s sata but you can still find h61 mobos with 6gb/s sata which will give you the full speed of the ssd.
