Best Rig in the world:
EVGA Classified SR-X
2x Intel Xeon E5-2687W (OC isn't necesary, but it would be a crazy idea)
2x GTX 690 Hydro-Copper (OC is necesary, this GPU almost asks you to OC it :D)
96 GB of RAM (highest frequency possible)
Am I right?

Tri-way SLI of 680 seems better. Also there is a MSI board with 128gb ram support. Btw highest frequency = higher timings, so basically little to none real world performance over 1600mhz ram.

4 cards aren't feasible due to heat problems. Yes you can plug them in and it will work but it won't get the max performance out of em, there are articles on overclockers.net

Doesn't really matter, maybe if the cards were somehow modded. They are too cluttered, each blows hot air into the other one

I still wouldn't buy either. All you need is a 3930K, at most. You won't see any improvement in games at all between a 3930K, at $500, and a 2687W at $2000.

1) get big bucket with water
2) get inflatable circle
3) put that circle into the bucket
4) put your rig on that circle
5) you have ultimate silent rig!!:)

that's an idea but i want to see how this cpu perform in games against 3960X i'm almost sure that it will get at least 10% more performance…and if i wait for the 3970x it will cost very much so i should buy a cpu and other components now instead of waiting for new components to appear and be very expensive…

i7-3970X will be cheaper than this one , a lot cheaper. You won't see any gaming improvements over 3970X.Games doesn't utilize 8 cores so you won't see any differences.

yeah but betwen 3960x and 3970x its a 7% performance difference so in gaming this will mean at most 2-3 FPS so it would be better to buy the 3960x now instead of waiting for 3970x…i want the ultimate performance available now so i will buy a 3960x, 3X Gtx 680 4gb, asus rampage extreme IV, and the best liquid cooling config that i can find…

Let me explain you something. All games has FPS-limiter from 30 to 300 mostly.
You cannot push them to 1000+,neither you can notice any difference due to the monitor refresh rate and capabilities of human eye.Actually one has to have very experienced eye to notice difference between 90 and 100.
This CPU or faster would be just waste of money :)
If you wan't to do that just for challenging the do it.And why do you even ask when you don't want to listen?

"Most men are rational. But then there are some men, who can't be bought, bullied, or reasoned with. Some men just want to watch the world burn." Seriously though, I agree here. If you're looking for an elite build that will tear through any game, just get a 3770K or a 3930K along with one of the Vapor-X HD 7970 GHz Editions.
