I pre-ordered Pillars of eternity, Wastelands 2 and Divinity Original Sin and all are fantastic games, I pre-ordered GTA V just for the pre-load :D
@Mukulgupta that's your case, in your Country (as you said). I think that we are talking to pre-order a game via steam or other online "origin" before the games release. You can pre-order even on a shop btw…

More great giveaway competitions coming this year!
And I will reiterate. You dont pay for the game until the release date or a few days after. The embargo gets lifted a few days before release date so you have more than enough time to figure out if you will still like the game. Logical thinking says that you lose NOTHING! You dont pay the developer to develop the game if you are preordering it. Repeating the same thing again and again about how preorders are damaging does not make them so. The customer gets to decide what is good regardless of whether they have preordered it coz it costs absolutely 0 money till its in your hands. And you can even return the damn thing in case the embargo was lifted after release date. I dont see this discussion going anywhere.
There's a trailer you don't want to miss coming your way.
Congratulations, Vuarinorri! You just won in Watch Dogs game giveaway. Your key is on it's way to your inbox. Enjoy! ;)
Preorders and day one buying is dumb. Wait and see how the game comes out. We are the customer and we decide what is good, not the developer.
If the candy for kids costs you literally no money except for some bandwidth and you can cancel the order anytime to get a straight refund, I dont see one problem with the whole system.
the question is: what's the true benefit for a pre-order? to have a gun, credits or something else? this is just rubbish and sounds like "candy for kids". As always: IMO
Guys! I will be announcing the winner of my Watch Dogs giveaway in 15 minutes! Stay tuned!
You can reserve a copy of a game for a minimal amount of like $5 in most stores. Hell, in India we can pay via cash on delivery and its possible to just cancel the order even when the guy is there to deliver. So, preorder usually doesnt cost nothing. Unless ofcourse you are paying the full amount through online means. In which case too, embargo for most games is 2-3 days before the release date.
Yes, lets pay for a game that isnt finished and blindly trust the trailers. Oh, and I will get two extra guns and a personalized hooker!
