Rumours of Diablo 4 have been gathering steam in recent weeks but Blizzard has just dropped the biggest clue yet. With Blizzard’s annual BlizzCon event just around the corner (kicking off November 4th), Blizzard has been sending out swag bags to a select few folks invited to the event. Inside there’s a die. Although it’s not just any old die, it’s a custom-made D4 four-sided die.

While not a huge deal on its own, other than potentially referencing Diablo 4, it turns out that this die has actually been purposely misprinted. Instead of having three ones on the top three sides of the die, there’s two ones and a four. So to clarify - that’s a D4 die referencing the starting date of BlizzCon 2014 on November 11th, an event which the official Diablo Twitter account has been teasing.

In addition to this, David Brevik, project lead on Diablo 2, has been spotted returning to Blizzard alongside Bill Roper, senior producer on Diablo 2. Brevik tweeted out a fairly cryptic message celebrating 20 years of Diable, saying For 20 years, “Diablo-like games have evolved & surprised us. I'm proud to be the adviser for the game that pushes this genre to new heights.”

As you can see his tweet also contains a picture of the Libra star constellation. As for why? It's a total mystery, but I'm sure we'll find out why in due course.

The pieces are most definitely falling into place here, so at the very least we’re going to hear something Diablo related at BlizzCon 2016. Could it be the sequel we’re all hoping for? Or is it Blizzard up to its usual tricks? Let us know what you think!
