For all its shonkiness there was a lot to love about the original Styx. It’s become something of a cult-classic in the meantime, scratching that same itch Splinter Cell once did. The grotty goblin is back in a couple of months with an altogether more polished affair - Styx: Shards of Darkness. We’ve got our thieving mitts on a brand new trailer in which Styx does what I think we've all wanted to do since time immemorial - duff up a load of pious elves.

This time around the environments promise to be larger than ever, with multi-tiered sandboxes providing ample opportunity to get the drop on your Elven foes. It’s also looking pretty swanky in Unreal Engine 4, there’s serious visual upgrade going on here compared to Styx: Master of Shadows.

I have to say it looks great, and in the absence of any other decent 3rd-person stealth games we’re hopeful Styx: Shards of Darkness fills the void.

It’s out on March 14th, 2017, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
