Guerrilla Games’ post-launch support for Horizon: Zero Dawn really has been stellar. And, despite the upcoming Frozen Wilds expansion that was revealed at E3, they’ve still found time to release a 1.30 patch for Horizon: Zero Dawn that adds a swanky New Game+ option.

The New Game+ feature lets players of the PlayStation 4 exclusive replay the game while keeping their character progression and inventory. The level cap will still be set at 50, but players will be able to find updated weapons and outfits, as well as an extra modification. There’s also a new Ultra Hard difficulty within which to wield your new weaponry. The enemy machines have improved sense and AI behaviour, while player health regen is limited.

That should help tide us over until Horizon: Zero Dawn - The Frozen Wilds expansion pack which is due to launch later this year.

“We were so excited to be able to announce the upcoming Horizon Zero Dawn expansion, The Frozen Wilds, at E3 last month,” writes Guerrilla Games. “As we were wrapping Horizon Zero Dawn, we had a lot of ideas for new characters, quests, and places for Aloy to discover, so we started to develop The Frozen Wilds. We can’t wait for you to experience the dangerous frigid lands to the north!”

Horizon: Zero Dawn’s 1.3 patch is available to download now.
