Guerilla Games has announced that The Frozen Wilds expansion pack for Horizon Zero Dawn will be out this November for PlayStation 4. It looks as if Sony’s betting big on this one, making what is essentially DLC one of its (few) tentpole holiday releases.
The Frozen Wilds takes players through a new chapter of Aloy’s journey, travelling to the north to explore new areas, get involved in a new storyline, and take on an array of new, devastatingly lethal machines. From the looks of things, the bulk of Frozen Wilds will revolve around trekking to the top of a mysterious mountain, one with ominous lightning strewn smoke whirling around the outside. If I were a betting man, I’d guess there’s a ruddy great angry machine chilling out side. Robo-dragon please.
It’s increasingly sounding as if Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is going to be a pretty meaty affair. It’ll kind of have to be, because after an impeccable start to the year it’s only really got Gran Turismo Sport and, er, Knack 2 left on the exclusives front.
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is out on November 7th for PlayStation 4.
