UPDATE: 06-Mar-2018 - Since the benchmark tool was released, we've since had the demo and the final game released. From our testing, the frame rates achieved in the Final Fantasy benchmark remain pretty much the same in the launch version, so these figures are still accurate.

The FFXV benchmark tool did suffer from some serious stuttering problems though, but these have been ironed out for the final release.

Original Story: 02-Feb-2018

Square Enix recently released the official Final Fantasy XV PC benchmark tool. Anyone can give it a download and test the performance on their PC. At the end, it spits out a number which can then be compared to Square Enix's charge to indicate your expected performance. At first, the number seems fairly useless, but divide it by 100 and you'll have what is roughly your average frames per second.

As Square Enix has been collecting all of the data from all of the FFXV benchmarks, we can, therefore, extrapolate the average frame rates on every single video card used to benchmark Final Fantasy XV. We've done just that, with the help of the ever industrious Shaheryar (who lightened the load considerably), providing a frames per second performance breakdown of dozens upon dozens of GPUs at various graphics settings and resolutions, all running the Final Fantasy 15 benchmark.

The graphics cards used do differ slightly from benchmark to benchmark. This depends on whether users have submitted benchmark results for that particular combination. There isn't a Titan V benchmark at 720p/Low, for example, while there isn't a 4K GeForce GT 1030 result.

Okay, that's your lot for now. Earlier on today I took a look at performance on the GeForce GTX 1060 6GB specifically, and be sure to check this out if you're planning to give the FFXV benchmark a go for yourself.
