Alright guv’nor, Forza Horizon 4 has just been announced at the Xbox E3 conference. And, er, if you haven’t guessed yet, it’s coming over here to Blighty for the first time. Which is great news, because we’ll be driving on the correct side of the road again.

Forza Horizon 4 is set in an open-world rendition with Britain and, in a series first, dynamically changing seasons. All four seasons will be present and correct in Forza Horizon 4, with routes and tracks dynamically changing depending upon the season. The example given was that lakes could freeze over in winter, for example, allowing racers to shortcut over them.

“For the first time in the racing and driving genre, experience dynamic seasons in a shared open-world,” said Playground Games. “Explore beautiful scenery, collect over 450 cars, and become a Horizon Superstar in historic Britain.”

In addition to the announcement of Forza Horizon 4, Microsoft also revealed live onstage that it has acquired developer Playground Games. They’ll now be working exclusively on Xbox titles.
