The Division 2’s been cropping up all over E3, but Ubisoft reserved the juiciest of all for its live showcase. A new cinematic trailer dropped for The Division 2, showcasing a Washington D.C. that has definitely seen better times. Perhaps not today, but certainly in the past.

The biggest announcements reserved for the Ubisoft press conference were two-fold though. Firstly, eight-player raids have now been confirmed. This will be an end-game activity that demands teamwork, providing the toughest challenges to be found in The Division 2. Ubisoft is promising big dungeons and hopefully a decent level of challenge. Throw in matchmaking and I’d say Ubisoft could have Bungie very worried.

Perhaps the best news was saved for last. Ubisoft has some impressive post-launch update plans for The Division 2, announcing three Episodes that will be released every three months, each packing new quests, challenges and places to explore. Oh, and they’re also going to be totally free. Yes, please.

The Division 2 is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 15th, 2019.
